iPhone Mail Setup - (Flexmail)
Quick Settings Reference
Copy these exact settings - don't let iPhone guess:

⚠️ Important: Use port 465 for outgoing mail, not 587
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Open Settings
- Tap Settings app on your iPhone
- Scroll down and tap Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
2. Choose Account Type
- Tap Other (don't choose iCloud, Gmail, or Yahoo)
- Tap Add Mail Account
3. Enter Your Details
- Name: Your name (as you want it to appear on sent emails)
- Email: Your full email address
- Password: Your email password
- Description: Something like "Council Email" (for your reference)
- Tap Next
4. Configure Incoming Mail (IMAP)
iPhone will try to guess settings. Change these to match exactly:
- Host Name:
imap.emailarray.com - User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your email password
- Tap Next
5. Configure Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
- Host Name:
smtp.emailarray.com - User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Your email password
- Tap Save
6. Final Settings Check
- Go back to Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap your new email account
- Tap Account at the top
- Tap SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server
- Tap smtp.emailarray.com
Verify these settings:
- Server: ON (switch should be green)
- Host Name: smtp.emailarray.com
- User Name: Your full email address
- Password: Filled in
- Use SSL: ON
- Server Port: 465
Testing Your Setup
- Send a test email to yourself or a colleague
- Check your sent folder - the email should appear there
- Try sending from another device to test receiving
Troubleshooting Common Issues
"Cannot Get Mail" Error
- Double-check the incoming server:
imap.emailarray.com - Verify port 993 and SSL are enabled
- Confirm your email password is correct
Email Stuck in Outbox
- This usually means outgoing settings are wrong
- Verify outgoing server:
smtp.emailarray.com - Most important: Check port is set to 465 (not 587)
- Ensure SSL is turned ON for outgoing mail
"Cannot Verify Server Identity" Warning
- This is normal for some email servers
- Tap Continue to proceed with setup
- Your email will still work securely
Can Receive But Can't Send
- Check outgoing server username is your full email address
- Verify outgoing port is 465
- Make sure outgoing password matches your email password
- Confirm SSL is enabled for outgoing mail
