⚠️ Important: Outgoing mail must use port 465 with SSL/TLS. Do not use port 587.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Open the Mail App

Click the Start Menu

Type and open Mail

If this is your first account: Click Add Account

Otherwise: Click Accounts > Add Account
2. Choose Account Type

Select Advanced setup

Then click Internet email
3. Enter Account Information

| Send your messages using this name | Your name (for recipients) |

✅ Tick all of the following boxes:

Outgoing server requires authentication

Use the same username and password for sending email

Require SSL for incoming email

Require SSL for outgoing email
Tap Sign In to complete setup.
Testing Your Setup

Send an email to yourself

Confirm it appears in your Sent Items

Ask someone to reply and check it arrives
Troubleshooting Common Issues
❌ “We couldn’t find your settings”

Double-check your server is

Ensure Account type = IMAP4

Confirm SSL is enabled for both incoming and outgoing
