New Clerks Guide

We've put together this brief guide for new or locum Clerks serving at Councils who are already NetWise clients.

If you've just taken over as Clerk or Locum Clerk then this guide will hopefully answer some of your immediate questions. If there's something specific that you need assistance with then please open a support ticket here https://netwiseuk.com/portal/submitticket.php?

Things to do

  1. Change the contact details and address on the website, If you're running our legacy theme then we have to do this on your behalf. If your Council is running NetWise V2 then you're able to do this yourself, you can still request us to do it on your behalf should you wish.
  2. Send us an email info@netwiseuk.com letting us know of the changes so that we can change the details on our online portal. This is where you can view invoices, manage email accounts and more.
  3. Be sure to take a look at our video tutorials that covers most of the features on our websites such as uploading documents, adding events, news and councillor details. https://parishcouncilwebsites.org.uk/video-tutorials/
  4. If you need support then you can open a ticket, this is the fastest way to resolve an issue https://netwiseuk.com/portal/submitticket.php?

Q - How do I add documents etc to the website?

We have short video tutorials that you can find here https://parishcouncilwebsites.org.uk/video-tutorials/ if there's something that we've not covered then please create a support ticket and we'll answer your query as soon as possible.

Q - I'm used to a different supplier from when I was a Clerk elsewhere, can I change to a new supplier.

We understand that learning new systems can be a little daunting, especially when time is at a premium. We have had a couple of instances where a new clerk wants leave us in the past purely as they're used to a different provider only to return to us within a few months due to compliance issues. Whilst you're free to leave, we'd love instead if we were given the opportunity to help. We're more than happy to flatten the learning curve of our system.

We go to extreme lengths to ensure that our systems are fully compliant and simple to use and we believe that we offer the best compliance / value proposition in the market.  We will happily discuss any aspect of our service and even provide bespoke training until you're comfortable using NetWise.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly relationship with all our Council clients, If there's something we can help with then please do get in touch. We look forward to working with you.
