Using a VPN

A VPN or virtual private network is an encrypted network connection designed to provide an extra layer of privacy when your device is connected to the internet. Passwords, and sensitive information can easily be intercepted when sent by email or message and so a VPN helps prevent this. Using a VPN on a mobile device such as a phone, tablet or laptop is especially recommended.

A VPN uses data encryption to ensure that any information you send or enter whilst online is coded so that it's not easily copied, in addition, when connecting to public wifi hotspots, the ability to track, trace and snoop on your activity is removed by the VPN encrypted connection.
