This notification doesn’t require any action and is for information purposes only.

The Cabinet Office have been working for the past twelve months to improve gov.uk domains.

As part of this process, the registry operator is transitioning from JISC to Nominet this month.

As registrars, NetWise manage your gov.uk domain and so you don’t need to take any action. There will however be a short period of a few days when we won’t be making any new domain applications

Please be advised of the following:

  • Friday 14 June, at 12:30: Jisc will cease accepting new domain name registrations

  • Monday 17 June, from 12:00: CDDO will start accepting new domain name registrations via their new process

  • Friday 21 June, at 12:30pm: Jisc will suspend processing any modifications, renewals, deletions, or transfers unless in the event of an emergency (e.g., DDOS attack)

  • Wednesday 26 June, at 15:00: The transition to Nominet will be finalised

regards

Steve & Adam and the team.
