On the 4th April 2023 Twitter removed free API access to it's platform. Most Twitter feeds rely on this API in order to embed Twitter feeds on websites, we are no exception.

Twitter plan to charge $42,000 per month to developers who wish to access their API, naturally this has caused shockwaves across the industry and more importantly it means that Twitter feeds have ceased to work on millions of websites worldwide. We used a plugin by Smash Balloon, they updated their website to reflect the sudden access loss on 4th April. You can read that notification here https://smashballoon.com/doc/twitter-api-changes-february-2023/

We will continue to look for a solution to this issue however we expect that it may become a paid option. For now at least, we recommend that any widgets displaying the empty Twitter feed are left in place until Smash Balloon release a further update.

Kind regards
